Heading into this weekend’s 400-mile event in the Irish Hills of Michigan International Speedway(MIS), the No.32 Can-Am/Kappa team will head north to the “Great Lake State” with Jeffrey Earnhardt behind the wheel for the first of two events in 2016 at the fast 2-mile speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan.

Sunday’s event will mark Earnhardt’s first career NSCS start at Michiga 2c33c4ea-e555-43e7-8590-08d16c60fa6a n. In 2013 the Mooresville, NC native made his NXS debut at MIS driving for GFR owner Archie St.Hilaire. In Earnhardt’s three NXS starts he has a best finish of 24th, which came during the 2014 event driving for Johnny Davis. Thus far in 2016, Earnhardt has eight NSCS starts, with his most previous being two weeks ago at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

“I’m really excited to get back behind the wheel of the Can-Am Ford this weekend in Michigan. We showed lots of speed, and had a good balance on the car earlier this year in Fontana which is a similar track. The new aero package should make for an exciting race and I’m looking forward to having a good run.”
