Daytona Recap:

Daytona, FL – When NASCAR fans think of super speedway racing the name Earnhardt certainly seems synonymous with that excitement.

For years Earnhardt drivers conquered the high banked monsters of the schedule and Jeffrey Earnhardt definitely plans on putting a “J” in the front of the Earnhardt last name in victory lane.

“I love coming to Daytona and Dega and it’s hard to match the excitement and mental effort at these tracks” said the 4th generation Earnhardt racer.  “When the smaller teams come here they know if they play the right strategy and get some obvious required luck, there’s a chance to have strong finishes and maybe grab the checkered flag.  This race being postponed and all stretched the day but it was almost like having a practice session so we were able to feel things out a little.  There was no real “big one” but we finished with the lead pack, ran up some and ended the day with a top 20.  For our team that’s a decent day and the car came back without damage so overall we can’t complain.”

Earnhardt spent the day finding spaces to place the JDM with Gary Keller Zero and navigated his way around a few close calls demonstrating his ability to react to ever changing action.

The next stop is Darlington where Jeffrey expects to finish strong.
