Heading into this weekend’s event at the Texas Motor Speedway, the No.32 Can-Am/Kappa team will travel west to “The Lone Star State” with Jeffrey Earnhardt for the first night race of the 2016 season in the 20th annual Duck Commander 500 at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, TX.
Saturday night’s event will mark Earnhardt’s first career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) start at the fast 1.5-mile track, and his sixth career NSCS start. The Mooresville, NC native has three starts thus far in 2016 at Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Fontana.
Earnhardt made his first start at TMS in the NASCAR Xfinity Series back in 2013 driving for current owner Archie St.Hilaire where he finished 22nd after starting 36th. The 2016 Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender has a best career finish in Texas of 19th, which came in 2014 spring race.
Jeffrey Earnhardt on Texas:
“It’s good to be back in the #32 Can-Am Ford Fusion with Go Fas Racing this weekend. I love the great state of Texas and look forward to Saturday’s Duck Commander 500.”
Crew Chief Wally Rogers will be bringing chassis GFR-890 to serve as the primary car. This chassis was last ran at Las Vegas in March. Chassis GFR-802 will serve as the backup car.
