Engine Failure Sidelines Earnhardt in Final Race of 2024 Season

Avondale AZ – The 2024 NASCAR season came to an end this week and Jeffrey Earnhardt and Sam Hunt Racing once again demonstrated speed in the early stages of the race. The number 26 Synergy Modular Toyota Supra navigated into the top ten and Earnhardt showed his ability to move thru the pack.

“We came into the weekend knowing we had speed and a strong car” said Earnhardt.  “We had go sim days and practice gave me a lot of confidence that if all went well, we’d finish the race with a top ten.”  The blue and black hot rod with ForeverLawn and Outlaw Mile High light beer onboard drove past the “big teams” and had their sights set on breaking into the top 5 when Jeffrey noticed his dash lights fading to black.  “I could see us losing power and while frustrating, I knew I had to head to the pits” commented the 26 car driver.  “The battery was dying and I figured we’d lose some laps but maybe get some luck with cautions and fight our way back.”  That plan was cut short with a motor failure that ended the day for Earnhardt & team.

“These things are out of my control but that’s just a series of unfortunate events” said Jeffrey.  “While this year had some ups and downs, I think I’ve shown what I can do to help teams compete and sponsors enjoy great ROI.  Sam continues to show that he’s going to be a contender for wins and I’m excited to see him doing so well.”

Earnhardt heads into the off-season working on his 2025 plans and chasing his dream to be a regular in victory lane.
