Earnhardt Focuses On Momentum For Phoenix

Jeffrey Earnhardt will be making his Phoenix International Raceway debut this Friday night for the Lucas Oil 150 on a ton of momentum. The 4th generation Earnhardt grabbed his career high during an emotional weekend at Daytona in the Fuel Doctor USA Chevy with a 7th place finish.

The top-ten finish put Earnhardt near the top of the point standings in third as well as second in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Rookie of the Year standings.

“Jeffrey has done all the right things during the off season preparing himself for this 2011 season, and it is yielding solid results already,” stated Dave Mitchell, Vice President of Rick Ware Racing. “Phoenix is his kind of track and with momentum on his side, we are looking for another strong finish for the Fuel Doctor USA team and Jeffrey. Earnhardt grew up racing on short tracks similar to Phoenix and crew chief Joe Lax is no stranger to victory lane either. That combination along with momentum can bring a solid weekend for all,” stated Mitchell.

“I am looking forward to racing in Phoenix this weekend”. said Earnhardt. “The entire #1 Fuel Doctor Chevy Team really did a great job for me last weekend in Daytona, and I am hoping to have continued success as we all take this team out west. I can’t thank Rick Ware and Mark Soffa from Fuel Doctor enough for all they are doing for me and I hope to bring home another solid finish. My goal for Phoenix once again is to log laps and just finish the race”

Earnhardt will be piloting one of the organizations favorite trucks T-8 at PIR.

Earnhardt will be signing autographs at the Camping World Store in Avondale Thursday February 24, 2011 at 2:00PM MST.

Action at Phoenix International Raceway for the running of the Lucas Oil 150 will be on Friday, February 25th at 8:00pm EST on SPEED.
