Charlotte, NC-  Jeffrey Earnhardt received the invite to race in the Craftsman Truck Series and couldn’t resist.  “I loved competing in the Truck Series so when I heard that Forgotten Coast K9 was the sponsor and that it would be a Toyota team, I jumped at the opportunity” said Earnhardt.  Forgotten Coast K9 is a Veteran Service Organization that brings veterans and specialty dogs together for intense training and a path forward to help other veterans. “Once I read about their background and the success of their programs I knew I had to be part of the mission” said Jeffrey.

Qualifying for the team was not what Earnhardt or team owner Carl Long had hoped for but a series of mishaps for other trucks landed the 67 team on the starting grid for the green flag.  As the team worked to find speed during the race, another vehicles accident collected the 67 truck and ended the day early.  “That was certainly not the plan going into this race but I enjoyed working with Carl and his group and look forward to a long term relationship with the great folks at Forgotten Coast K9’s” said Earnhardt.

Jeffrey returns to the NASCAR Xfinity Series soon for more races with Sam Hunt Racing.
