Race Previews

Mooresville, NC - Jeffrey and crew have been working hard to get him back on the track and we're pleased to let you know that good things are on the horizon.

"Things change in this sport on a regular basis so I've learned to remain persistent even when things don't go as planned" said Earnhardt. "Viva Motorsports sold to new ownership and now our group had to change gears to seek out new opportunities. I'm happy to say we found something that is really exciting and gives me the stability we've lacked over the past year. We're fine tuning the details but I'm certain our fans are going to enjoy the news and I'm looking forward to getting back behind the wheel. Stay tuned and we'll share the news as soon as we can."

1Brands Hatch, United Kingdom - Jeffrey Earnhardt crossed the pond this week to compete in Euro NASCAR's American Speedfest III. "It was an invitation I couldn't resist" said a smiling Jeffrey. "I've never been to the UK and getting the chance to come here and compete at Brands Hatch was such a cool opportunity it took me less than a second to start packing my bags." Jeffrey will be driving the #55 car like he does at Viva Motorsports in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with Whelen title sponsorship adorning the car. Simpson and Fronius USA will be major sponsors for Jeffrey's first Euro NASCAR effort with the green flag dropping on Saturday during the showcase event.

Jerome Galpin, President/CEO of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series commented: "We are very happy to have Jeffrey racing with us at Brands Hatch. The Earnhardt family is one of the most famous in motorsport and it demonstrates once again, the close relationship between European and American NASCAR series. More and more drivers are crossing the ocean. Euro drivers to race in NASCAR in the USA and US drivers to join the Euro-NASCAR pack which is fast becoming one of the premier series in Europe. English fans will have a great opportunity to attend a unique event- we are ready to roar!"

Dave Willey, Brands Hatch Motorsport Events Manager added: "The Earnhardt name resonates not just with NASCAR fans, but all of us who are involved with motor racing across the globe. I would like to extend a warm welcome to Jeffrey and hope to see him competing at the sharp end at American Speedfest III and put on a great show for the fans on the Indy circuit."

Earnhardt is enjoying his first day with BBC interviews and a number of meet & greets with fans from across the Atlantic. "Day one has been outstanding and I'm really getting excited for this weekend. It's a new experience and I can't thank Jerome and his team enough for their hospitality. Motorsports are so popular in the UK and Euro NASCAR is getting a lot of fan growth. I'm totally pumped to compete hard and help make this weekend a great show" said Jeffrey. "Thanks to Simpson, Fronius and Viva for their support and we'll keep the fans back home posted on our UK adventure."

On to Texas

qwMooresville, NC - Jeffrey Earnhardt and the JD Motorsports #4 Camaro sit 18th in points with just three races remaining in the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series Season. This year represents Jeffrey's first full season in the Nationwide series and there's been plenty to build on.

"It's been a year of ups & downs but mostly positive" said Jeffrey. "The team worked their tails off to maximize our opportunities and we've had good runs during the year. I've gained a lot of experience and I think we're exceeding expectations on most weeks. We ran a full year on a very small budget and that's a testimony to Johnny, Gary and the guys at JDM."

As they move to Texas for this weekends O'Reilly Auto Parts Challenge, the #4 team looks forward to finishing strong. "I'm ready to race the last 3 of the season and end 2014 on a positive note. We have three tracks that I like a lot and it should be fun for the entire team, said Earnhardt.

Next race is on November 1st at Texas Motor Speedway and will be televised on ESPN at 3:30 pm.

Ready For Kansas

flexshot suit03 October 2014 - Kansas Speedway: Jeffrey Earnhardt will be piloting the JD Motorsports #4 Camaro this Saturday in the Kansas Lottery 300. With just 5 races remaining in the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series Season, Earnhardt sits 18th in points and an opportunity to move up in the rankings. "During the last few races we've had a mixed bag" said Jeffrey. "We had some issues with equipment and then in Richmond we were taken out with nowhere to go. Wrecks are part of racing so you take the bad with the good. In Kentucky we had a decent run and ended with a 16th finish. Our team is running on a tight budget at the moment so whenever we get a top 20 finish it's quite an accomplishment. The experience is good and I look forward to increasing our funding so we can get the engines & tools necessary to win races."

Kansas is a mile and a half track which proves challenging for the smaller teams but with good pits and smart driving the #4 team looks forward to a good day of racing. Television coverage begins at 3:30pm ET on ESPN.

Richmond Bound

Richmond, VA. - Jeffrey Earnhardt entered the month of April with top 20 finishes in Texas and Darlington. Driver and team continue to make progress on and off the track and this weekends Toyota Care 250 at Richmond International Raceway is an opportunity to build on that momentum. "We're getting better each week and learning what things we need to do to maximize our performance" said Jeffrey. "The seat time has been very valuable and with the exception of getting clipped early in Bristol, we're having clean finishes and racing the best we can." Last year in Richmond Jeffrey made national news racing for his uncle at JR Motorsports. Spending much of that race with the front of the pack, Jeffrey looks forward to returning to Richmond.

"That opportunity was a lot of fun. We have a good car for this weekend and I'm ready to drive that #4 as fast as she can go." Jeffrey currently sits in 17th in NNS drivers points and this race certainly provides the opportunity to improve that position at the end of the day.

The Green Flag is scheduled to wave at 7:15pm EST with television coverage on ESPN News channel.

Looking ahead to Vegas

je fw1 2014Las Vegas, NV- Two races into the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series and Jeffrey sits 17th in points. Daytona was a clean race for Earnhardt but removal of the tandem draft left the smaller teams at a distinct disadvantage. Car & Driver ran to the best of their ability but the only answer to a higher place finish was more horsepower. The Daytona 500 victory by Jeffrey's uncle (Dale Jr.) was great motivation and everyone at JEI and JD Motorsports are doubling down to secure sponsorship to improve the program.

From there the team rolled on to Phoenix for some small track racing. Jeffrey drove the #4 Chevrolet Camaro to a clean 27th place finish before the race was called due to rain. "I'm happy to be out there competing and look forward to working with the team to increase our speed" said Earnhardt. "We need to increase our funding so we can get more competitive. I appreciate everything the guys are doing and look forward to Vegas."

Jeffrey's next race will be the Boyd Gaming 300 on Saturday, March 8th at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

"Our guys are working on opportunities to get a few more races added to this years schedule and we've been looking at some exciting things for 2014. I'm looking forward to our next race with Uponor and Wendy-DTFA. Uponor brings their customers to the races and it's a great experience for everyone" said Jeffrey. "In Daytona we had a good race going before getting caught in someone else's wreck but we ran well. It's been fun working with the Wendy's -DTFA because we're giving a lot of special kids an opportunity to spend the day with our team and NASCAR & the tracks have been super with hospitality. In Mid Ohio we'll have a large number of kids coming to enjoy the race and spend time together. I'm fortunate to be able to be a part of this and I know the kids enjoy it too."

Headed to Daytona

28 June 2013 - Daytona, FL. Jeffrey Earnhardt is headed down to Daytona International Speedway to race in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Subway Firecracker 250 Powered By Coca-Cola on Friday, July 5th. He'll be driving the #79 Tobacco Free Florida - Wendy's Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption Ford Mustang and has some added excitement for this race. "We're always pumped to race Daytona and this race is extra special because we're bringing some VIP guests" said Earnhardt.

"The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption works hard to find families for children so we decided to meet the kids at the Florida United Methodist Childrens Home before the race and let them check out the car, sign some stuff for them and have a group join us as guests on race day. I think 45 kids will be with us at the track so we're looking forward to a fun time."

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption was established by Wendy's founder Dave Thomas to help every child in foster care find a loving and permanent family.

"Working with the foundation is very satisfying. Bringing smiles to these kids and raising awareness to their need for a caring family is something I really enjoy and I look forward to spreading the message and racing for the kids."
